Hi, thanks for dropping by 😊. I am a senior designer based in London with over 15 years of experience. My skillset spans UX, UI and interaction design. I enjoy working across all sectors, from small start-ups and non-profits through to blue-chip FTSE 100 corporations; creating effective communications that really make a difference.
For further information and contact details please check out my CV.
I am an advocate of design thinking. I believe in a human-centered approach to problem-solving, building empathy and putting myself in the shoes of the end-user. The process should start with the people you are designing for and end with new solutions that are tailored to their needs. Far too often, projects are driven purely by the business goals and the user experience suffers.
I am outcome-focused in all work I undertake. I try to get to the core of the problem before creating solutions to meet those needs using convergent and divergent techniques. I am a big fan of the continous improvement methodology and try to define metrics for success before starting each project. I believe this helps to manage expectations and ensure the team is working together with a holistic vision.
I can work independently as a design lead or senior UI designer. I am a team player and work with curiosity, drive and a sense of humour (being an Arsenal fan, I find this helps).
I am hugely committed to every project I undertake. I won’t compromise – only the best will do.
I am a design generalist in skill and a specialist in values. No two projects are the same. Ultimately, I strive to make the world a better place and will always bring human insights from this angle.
Information needs to be communicated in every phase of the design process and is key to building relationships – both with colleagues and clients. What sets great designers apart is their ability to communicate the ‘what, why and how’ of their design decisions.
I work with passion and curiosity. I have a keen interest in the world around me and will take time to explore everything – from the big picture to the small details. The only silly question is the one not asked.
I lead and collaborate with everyone in the team, from writers to front-end developers. I believe that pushing boundaries in these relationships leads to the best work.
